Root Cause Connections is the co-creation of 6 certified Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Practitioners collaborating around a common cause - guiding others toward a sustainable, healthy way of life through education and community support. We offer courses designed to empower and educate you toward gaining control of your wellness journey.

Stacey Hirshman

Stacey’s deliberate focus on health and wellness evolved through a pursuit of solutions to her young son’s developmental and mental health challenges. Putting her research skills and attention to detail to work, Stacey became a go-to resource on health and wellness for family and friends, leading her to pursue a career in the industry. She became a Functional Nutrition Lab certified Functional Nutrition & Lifestyle Practitioner in order to better educate and guide others who are also seeking healthier, cleaner, and more joyful ways to live and thrive. Through her private practice as a FNLP, Stacey’s intention is to help as many people as possible nourish themselves in mind and body, so that they may truly flourish.

Linda Stevenson

Linda Stevenson is a facilitator, coach, and trainer who has been holding space for creative collaborations and powerful transformations for organizations and communities. Four years ago, it was her own personal health crisis that led her to become a Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Practitioner to help shift the focus of our healthcare system from disease care to health care where everything is connected, everything matters, and we are all unique.

Salima Ahamad

Salima's initial career began as a chemical lab technician. She then shifted gears to the health care field as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Her 14 years of experience in the health care profession inspired her towards helping people take control of their health thus, leading her to pursue her passions as a Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Practitioner. She has addressed digestive health, histamine intolerance, allergies, blood sugar, and more.  She has also worked with clients from different cultures and enjoys building recipes for nutritional healing by incorporating the healing power of herbs, spices, and culturally diverse ingredients.

Leslie Dowling

After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, Leslie spent 15 years working in product development/marketing for Fortune 500 companies.

After living & eating clean along with years of competitive sports, she decided to go back to school in order to more fully understand how nutrition and physiology are entwined. Leslie is taking her years of clean living and education to the forefront through public speaking virtually and in person along with health and wellness summits, and also active on social media. She is a podcaster spreading the word for health awareness and living a sustainable lifestyle.

Susan Connor

Susan combines her nursing skills of over 40 years with Medical Exercise, Health Coaching and Functional Nutrition to give you a personalized program to reach your optimal health.  Her passion lies in Exercise and Lifestyle Management at the cellular level for increased longevity and better metabolic health.
